/01 Co-Founders
Co-Founder
Andrew brings over 35 years of marketing expertise and strategic foresight to OfficeBox AI. His career is defined by an ability to identify transformative technologies early and build businesses around them.
In 2013, Andrew co-founded Bitfury, providing early capital and strategic leadership to launch one of the world's first Bitcoin ASIC chips. Under his co-management, Bitfury grew from a $150,000 seed-stage venture to command over 30% of the global Bitcoin mining market — a business now valued at over $4 billion. He also pioneered the development of what is widely considered the first Litecoin ASIC miner.
After exiting Bitfury, Andrew founded Mercantile Services, a private investment organisation based in Zurich that has been identifying and backing breakthrough technology ventures since 2013. He reinvested in cutting-edge sectors including biotech, insuretech, large language models, and ethical artificial intelligence. His investment philosophy is rooted in decentralisation and open access — principles that mirror the original ethos of the crypto movement and now underpin OfficeBox AI's mission.
Andrew and Joshua are also co-founders of BuilderWatch, an insuretech startup building technology to disrupt the UK construction industry.
Technical Co-Founder
Joshua currently works as a Technical Lead for a major UK and US insurance company, leading the Global Payments team across both markets and overseeing all payments taken by the business. He also has multiple years of experience building and supporting high-scale streaming services at DAZN, where he helped operate systems serving millions of concurrent users worldwide.
Joshua is also the founder of Super AI Systems, a research and experimentation arm focused on AI and data science, and the technical co-founder of BuilderWatch.
With deep experience across highly regulated industries, large-scale distributed systems, and a long-standing interest in security and AI, Joshua is ideally positioned to lead the technical direction of OfficeBox AI.
